چکیده
In this work, the homotopy perturbation method (HPM), variational iteration method (VIM) and Adomian decomposition method (ADM) are applied to solve the Rosenau–Hyman equation. We used the initial condition ( u(x, 0) = −83 cos 2 ( x 4 )) for aforementioned methods. Numerical solutions obtained by these methods are compared with the exact solutions, revealing that the obtained solutions are of high accuracy. Also the results show that the introduced methods are efficient for solving the Rosenau–Hyman equation.

Unconditionally Stable Difference Scheme for the Numerical Solution of Nonlinear Rosenau-KdV Equation
In this paper we investigate a nonlinear evolution model described by the Rosenau-KdV equation. We propose a three-level average implicit finite difference scheme for its numerical solutions and prove that this scheme is stable and convergent in the order of O(τ2 + h2). Furthermore we show the existence and uniqueness of numerical solutions. Comparing the numerical results with other methods in...
متن کاملApplication of the tan(phi/2)-expansion method for solving some partial differential equations
In this paper, the improved -expansion method is proposed to solve the Kundu–Eckhaus equation and Gerdjikov–Ivanov model. The applied method are analytical methods to obtaining the exact solutions of nonlinear equations. Here, the aforementioned methods are used for constructing the soliton, periodic, rational, singular and solitary wave solutions for solving some equations. We obtained furthe...
متن کاملRemarks on the Conserved Densities of the Camassa-holm Equation
It is pointed out that the higher-order symmetries of the Camassa-Holm (CH) equation are nonlocal and nonlocality poses problems to obtain higher-order conserved densities for this integrable equation (J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 2005, 38 869-880). This difficulty is circumvented by defining a nolinear hierarchy for the CH equation and an explicit expression is constructed for the nth-order conserve...
متن کاملCompact-like pulse signals in a new nonlinear electrical transmission line
A nonlinear electrical transmission line with an intersite circuit element acting as a nonlinear resistance is introduced and investigated. In the continuum limit, the dynamics of localized signals is described by a nonlinear evolution equation belonging to the family of nonlinear diffusive Burgers’ equations. This equation admits compact pulse solutions and shares some symmetry properties with...
